PUBLIC NOTICE

The Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) received with deep concern the report of a building collapse at Hayin Dammani Community, Kaduna, which regrettably resulted in the loss of three lives.

Following the incident, the Director-General of KASUPDA, accompanied by members of the Management Team, visited the affected community to assess the situation, sympathise with the families of the deceased, and engage relevant stakeholders.

The Director-General conveyed the Authority’s condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Hayin Dammani Community over the unfortunate loss of lives.

In response, the Director-General has constituted an Emergency Committee to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the incident, determine the circumstances and possible factors responsible for the collapse, evaluate the condition of buildings within the affected area, and recommend appropriate measures aimed at preventing a recurrence.

The Authority remains committed to the enforcement of development control standards, building safety regulations, and sustainable urban development across Kaduna State.

KASUPDA urges property owners, developers, and residents to comply strictly with approved building plans and relevant development regulations in the interest of public safety.
